Week Three: Webinar

In this week’s webinar, Luis Pérez discusses the UDL principle of Multiple Means of Representation, and explores ideas for varying how information is presented to address differing needs, learning styles, and interests.

Luis Pérez received his doctorate in special education from the University of South Florida. He is the author of Mobile Learning for All (Corwin Press) as well as an Apple Distinguished Educator and a Google Certified Teacher. Luis is current the Professional Learning Chair for the Inclusive Learning Network of ISTE.

Consider the following questions as you watch this video:

  • Comprehension is a multifaceted activity, with many possibilities for varied support.  What comprehension ideas from the video do you want to implement?

  • How do you vary your instruction now to provide options for learners whose language differs from yours?  What resources presented here (or elsewhere) can help?

  • What are the benefits of having materials available in digital formats, particularly in relation to providing options for perception?
