Business Model:

 

Our business model is based on three components focused on creating and retainining customers.

 

Freemium Model:

 

Since the first "O" in SOOC stands for "open" we intend to offer our SOOCs free once or twice a year. The goal is to interact with, gain insight from and pursue leads from participants. 

As well there will be an open "sandbox" for people to explore an example SOOC independently or with a small groups. We would provide this sandbox for a district to "test drive" the SOOC and from their feedback, customize the SOOC to their needs. The sandbox option would only be extended at the proposal state in the pipeline.

PaaS:


In our Growth Plan we outline our goals for the next 24 months. Included in this plan is building additional SOOCs, creating a platform that will hold our SOOC Sandbox, allow for registration and tracking as well as a space to deliver content and create a community.  Within this community would be a variety of resources beyond those created by the participants that would include video and interactive tools to support learning. Access to this community would be renewed on a yearly or contractual  basis.

 

Tiered Delivery:

 

We ofter 3 levels of support to meet a variety of district needs:

 

Tier One includes:

  • Implementation support - phone or online planning with key district personnel (4 hours)

  • 4-Week SOOC access - Access to for up to 50 participants 

  • Secure SOOC delivery site

  • Access to SOOC community via company site or through Google+ community as per districts needs

  • Follow-up report on attendance and participation

  • Badges for completion

 

  • District Investment - $25,000

 

Tier Two Includes:

  • Implementation support - 2 days planning with key district personnel (in person)

  • In-person sessions for SOOC teams - 2 to 4 two-day sessions

  • 4-Week SOOC access - Access to for up to 100 participants 

  • Customized SOOC based on district initatives and technology tools

  • Secure SOOC delivery site - continued access to site

  • Access to SOOC community via company site or through Google+ community as per districts needs

  • Access to videos and interactive tools for 1 year from completion of SOOC

  • Follow-up report on attendance and participation

  • Comments, feedback and additional resources personalized to each participant

  • Badges and certificate of completion 

 

  • District Investment - $65,000

 

Tier Three Includes:

  • Implementation support - 2 days planning with key district personnel (in person)

  • In-person sessions for SOOC teams - 2 to 4 two-day sessions

  • 4-Week SOOC access - Access to for up to 200 participants 

  • Customized SOOC based on district initatives and technology tools

  • Secure SOOC delivery site - continued access to site

  • Access to SOOC community via company site or through Google+ community as per districts needs

  • Access to videos and interactive tools for 3 year from completion of SOOC

  • Follow-up report on attendance and participation

  • In-person follow-upsessions for SOOC teams - 2 to 4 two-day sessions

  • Comments, feedback and additional resources personalized to each participant

  • Badges and certificate of completion 

  • CEUs 

 

  • District Investment - $100,000

 

Additional Phases

  • Accrediation for district staff in SOOC process - ability to deliver SOOC to staff with 1-3 year access - $5000/staff member

  • SOOCs or in-person sessions for parents - $5500/day

  • Team planning/Demonstration lessons with video creation of lessons - $7000/day including video production

  • Students engagement and advocacy sessions - $5500/day

  • Resource creation, with district team including video, websites and tools - $5500/day
